Position: Head of Technical

Location: Birmingham

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Salary: Up to £60,000

We are searching for a highly capable individual to join our team as the Head of Technical for a prominent food manufacturing company based in Birmingham. While we can't disclose the company name, we supply various food manufacturers and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a small technical team, providing mentorship and support as needed.
• Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular audits to maintain BRC certification and other relevant accreditations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to optimize production processes and address technical challenges.
• Foster strong relationships with suppliers and clients to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry, with a focus on dairy products preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully managing BRC audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and empower team members to achieve departmental goals.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive and strategic approach to problem-solving, with a demonstrated ability to implement effective solutions.
