About the Commercial NPD Coordinator job
This is a brand-new position where you will play a pivotal role in expanding the company’s customer activity within the food manufacturing sector by presenting their range of products to development teams.
Key tasks
- Customer engagement - build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at food manufacturing companies.
- Product presentation - effectively showcase the company’s products, highlighting their quality, nutritional benefits, and relevance to current food trends, as well as to the customer’s lives and future projects.
- Technical expertise: possess a good understanding of food industry trends, nutritional values, and product applications. Stay abreast of market developments and competitor offerings to provide insightful recommendations to customers.
- Collaboration - work closely with customers' NPD and project teams to understand their requirements, offer tailored solutions, and assist in the development of new products incorporating the company’s products.
- Sales generation - develop and execute strategic plans to generate revenue targets. Market analysis - conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape. Utilise findings to inform product development strategies and sales approach.
- Communication and reporting - maintain clear and timely communication with internal stakeholders, including sales management and product development teams. Provide regular updates on customer interactions, market insights, and sales pipeline.
About You
You will need to utilise your knowledge of food trends and nutritional qualities to engage with clients and collaborate closely with their NPD and project teams. In addition:
- Proven track record in technical sales within the food industry, with a focus on ingredients or raw materials preferred.
- Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes, product formulation, and ingredient functionality. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing development opportunities.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build rapport with clients at all levels.
This position will require travel to customer sites and industry events, so a full clean driving license is essential.

The Commercial NPD Coordinator job can essentially be homebased, but East of England would be ideal, and is paying £45,000 - £55,000 according to your experience.
There is a bonus element to the role and transport will be covered either through generous mileage and/or car/allowance.
This is a Monday to Friday role and comes with 24 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
