Role Overview: To lead & manage a highly capable Research & Innovation Team

Key Responsibilities:

• This a brand-new role at this unique business, due to an exciting expansion strategy and having gained further investment for its research teams they are seeking to recruit a Senior Research & Innovation Manager. It’s a brilliant opportunity to lead and implement the research strategy for the organisation, through identification of science and technology themes relevant to the food and drink industry. You will implementation of a framework to enable co-ordination of the research programme, to support growth of new services, development of new skills and training of scientists and technologists within our organisation

Qualifications and Experience:

• You will have previous experience in a Research/ Innovation role ideally for a large-scale Food /Drink Manufacturer looking at innovative new products, ingredients, processes, and technologies.
• You will be Degree qualified in relevant science or technology-based subject (a higher degree would be an advantage)
• You be able to demonstrate previous commercial experience to ensure the research is relevant to meet the needs of the food and drink industry, ideally gained from working directly in industrial R&D.
• You will have a passion and excellent knowledge of the needs of the food and drink industries with the ability to use this to influence, communicate and direct the research strategy.
• Outstanding communication skills with a track record in influencing and leading
