Seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join a dynamic team as a Quality Assurance Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, legality, and quality of all products entering and produced by the factory, adhering to agreed specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting Quality Control inspections in both low-risk and high-risk factory areas.
  • Performing quality checks on incoming raw materials to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Collecting samples for chemical and microbiological analysis.
  • Monitoring production processes and addressing any raw material or quality issues promptly.
  • Conducting start-up checks on equipment such as check-weighers and metal detectors.
  • Monitoring on-line production sheets and recording deviations from specifications.
  • Coordinating product sampling and maintaining accurate records of all relevant data.
  • Overseeing daily chiller temperature checks and reporting any deviations.
  • Upholding ethical policies and codes of conduct when interacting with colleagues.
  • Working in an environmentally efficient manner, adhering to environmental policies and principles.
  • Collaborating with senior management to promote a culture of food safety, health and safety, ethics, and environmental responsibility.

Auditing Responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular audits on glass, hard plastic, knives, scales, temperature probes, fridges, sanitising solutions, and atmospheric conditions.

Food Safety and Hygiene:

  • Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene policies and procedures
  • Properly storing goods and raw materials within the factory or warehouse
  • Following HACCP guidelines and receiving basic food hygiene training as needed

Requirements and Key Skills:

  • Level 2 HACCP
  • Experience in a quality assurance technician position in the food industry
  • Familiarity with health and safety protocols and hazard identification.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong numerical, organisational and record-keeping abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently, follow instructions, and demonstrate initiative
  • Flexible schedule with availability on weekends if required.
