Technical Manager / Fresh Produce / Cambs

£40-50k

Are you passionate about driving quality excellence and leading teams? Are you looking for a Monday-to-Friday Technical Manager role? If so this is the role for you.

The role
  • Optimise manufacturing functions for enhanced efficiency.
  • Improve quality and yield performance.
  • Foster a high-performance workforce and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Champion cost reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives.




Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation of technical solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Drive the Food Safety and Quality Culture plan across the site.
  • Oversee the Quality Management system to ensure product excellence.
  • Manage HACCP processes and maintain standards.
  • Conduct audits of third-party suppliers, ensuring compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop continuous improvement projects.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customer interactions and visits.
  • Develop and lead internal audit systems to ensure quality and traceability.
  • Coach and develop team members to promote growth and excellence.
  • Monitor departmental performance and drive cost reductions.


Person Specification:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/Technical roles within Fresh Produce.
  • Relevant qualifications including HACCP Level 3 and Internal Auditor.
  • Proficient in computer literacy and communication skills.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Demonstrated behaviour aligned with company values and objectives.
