The Role:
The primary focus of this role will be to develop commercial relationships and manage the sales of the business’s portfolio of branded products for retail and distributor customers within the UK and European market. This will also involve overseeing and executing strategically important projects and work to identify new business and market opportunities.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage a portfolio of c.400 tonnes, c.£2 million Net Sales of existing business.
- Development and implementation of the business strategies in order to maximise and maintain presence of the company’s branded product across the region.
- Ongoing management of cost and selling prices and associated margin implications.
- Ongoing liaison with distributors, their management teams and sales forces.
- Ongoing liaison with all external teams (contracted agencies, third party manufacturers etc) to
- fulfil role.
- Ongoing liaison with all internal teams (Supply & Support, Projects Team etc) to assist with the process of turning strategy into action.
People Profile:
- Organised, able to prioritise and deliver to deadlines, the job holder needs to be tenacious.
- Numerate with good analytical skills, preferably with a degree of commercial acumen.
- Culturally aware with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Self motivated and resilient with the ability to work alone as well as part of the team.
- Able to build and maintain effective working relationships and communicate across all levels of business.
- Willing to travel (roughly 6 days a month).
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
- Growth mindset with an ability to think strategically and produce results.
- Continuous improvement with a strong focus on excellence.
