2 Sisters Food Group are seeking an experienced and diligent Technical Manager to lead an established Quality team at our Pizza operation in Nottingham.

About The Role:

Reporting into the Head of Technical, the Technical Manager will be responsible for leading our team of established supervisors and auditors. The role will be expected to maintain and enhance the products/processes in the factory to drive improved operational, commercial, food safety, logistical or quality benefits.

The Technical Manager will act as the “technical conscience” of the factory and to help ensure the factory reaches the appropriate state of technical excellence and ensures continuous improvement. This will involve driving technical/quality improvements, legal compliance, maintaining quality standards and leading customer and third-party audits.

Duties of the role will include:

  •  Day to day management of QA Teams at both sites, their workload, time and attendance
  •  Provide direction and support to the Quality Supervisors and Auditors, managing and facilitating their performance and developments while ensuring that the departmental structure and skills are developed to meet changing requirements.
  •  Ensure QA tasks are completed to schedule.
  • Continuous improvement and simplification of quality and food safety processes on site
  • Co-ordinate programmes to monitor factory standards and drive continuous improvement.
  • To investigate all incidence that may contravene the legal aspects of food production, generate customer complaints or breach food safety systems.
  •  To ensure that all customer complaints are investigated to satisfactory conclusion and root cause identified. Lead complaint reduction plans.
  •  To lead customer and third-party audits in conjunction with Technical Services Manager.
  •  To lead HACCP team and ensure the system is maintained with robust risk assessments and all members appropriately trained.
  • To be an active member of TACCP teams.

About You:

To excel in this Technical Manager role, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • An established background in QA,Technical and Quality Management at a senior level within Food Manufacturing.
  •  Strong knowledge of retailer standards, ideally M&S.
  •  Level 3 HACCP.
  • Level 4 Food Safety.
  •  Confident and capable team management skills.
  • Strong communication and diplomacy skills.
  •   Strong understanding of Food Legislation, Audits and Manufacturing standards.
  • High level of PC literacy.
