Senior Raw Materials Technologist

Brand new, exciting opportunity in the Food Manufacturing industry as a Senior Raw Materials Technologist.

Our esteemed client, a leading innovator in the food manufacturing industry is on the lookout for an experienced Senior Raw Materials Technologist to join their team. The role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of two technologists in the raw materials department, contributing to their meticulous and professional approach to ensure continued excelled of their products.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage a team of two technologists within the raw materials department.
* Coordinate, approve, and maintain raw material specifications to ensure quality and compliance standards are met.
* Maintain an accurate list of suppliers used by the site, ensuring traceability and quality assurance.
* Ensure the site is audit-ready at all times and compliant with customer requirements.
* Represent the team at both site and customer meetings, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Actively participate in the internal audit team to uphold quality standards and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to address any issues and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:
* Previous experience working with chilled and high-risk products is preferable.
* Proven experience working with large-scale retailers, demonstrating familiarity with their standards and expectations.
* Demonstrated experience working with raw materials in the food industry, with a minimum of 2 years holding a technical or quality position.
* Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the team professionally in various settings.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to ensuring product quality and safety.

Salary:
£30,000-£35,000 (dependent on experience)
