Job Title: Technical Co-Ordinator

Contract: Permanent

Location: Bolton

Salary: 28K – 32K

Hours: 37.5 hours. Monday to Friday

25 days holiday. Bank hols off Weekends off unless required so flexibility is needed.

Essential Ingredients

  • Experience and knowledge of BRC standards.
  • Experience and knowledge of conducting internal audits.
  • Food safety and HACCP qualified (Level 3)
  • Degree qualified or equivalent in a science related discipline is desirable.

As a Quality Technical Co-Ordinator you will take part in site trialling new or existing ingredients for the purpose of product / process improvement. We take great pride in keeping our people and product’s safe, so you will play a key role in ensuring work is conducted in accordance with our stringent quality requirements.

You will also be responsible for carrying out plant audits and inspections to ensure they match product and process requirements and contribute to raising quality standards. File and audit all quality and food safety process control paperwork. Our technical team work closely with Centre technical team in partnership on quality food safety projects and initiatives, and so implementing the overarching business strategy.

As a member of the HACCP team, you will help conduct meetings and contribute to meetings to improve site and food safety systems and any issues which may impact product safety. You will monitor, measure and report on key quality and food safety operational issues.

We have a great team at Variety Bakery who have a passion on product safety and product quality. You will build relationships with other departments, suppliers and visitors to site. You will work closely with Centre R&I team and assist with any new product / ingredient / process development. Taking part in site microbiological sampling. This will include collecting samples and logging them on various systems according to the Micro sampling schedule.

About Us

Did you know there are two bakery sites in Bolton (Bolton & Variety), a distribution hub, a newly built Innovation Centre, Test Bakery, and our Head Office. We have approximately 480 colleagues working across Bolton and Variety manufacturing and distribution.
