Job Details
A truly exciting position has become available at a creative development agency specialising in the development and commercialisation of award-winning products. Due to business growth, the client requires someone who can hit the ground running and provide a leadership role within the business’s quality, compliance and development agenda.
Key Accountabilities
- Rectification of potentially defective product or specifications.
- Lead the risk management process for any issues that arise to help the business manage key decisions.
- Product safeguarding. Technical troubleshooting.
- Identify new contract production facilities.
- Ensuring contract production facilities are producing products to the required quantity and specification.
- Auditing and on-boarding new supplier.
- Trials and set up.
- Establish the quality standards required for each product.
- Manage and expand 3rd party manufacturing partners database.
- Ensure streamline the scale up to supply process by having pre-established relationships and processes.
- Auditing partners to ensure they meet internal QC standards and regulatory requirements.
- Improve internal analytical capability and own SOP’s to drive more accuracy in the work delivered.
- Help manage timeline and critical paths for innovation development projects.
- Help with sensory record keeping – tasting documentation.
Person Profile
- The business is a fast paced, agile and ever changing enviroment so must have a can-do attitude, a willingness to find solutions and an ability to work with and help manage risk.
- Must be a self-starter who can flex multiple skills simultaneously whilst managing shifting priorities.
- Willingness to work in a small team and openly share information, troubleshoot and able to quickly ask for help and guidance.
- Must be willing to travel and support trials and production of new products in multiple locations globally.
- Education – bachelor’s degree in food science, chemistry or other related discipline required.
- Relevant experience in food / drinks technical, quality or development background.
