The Company

Supplying indulgent products to the UK retail and food service market, this growing global business is looking to appoint an ambitious Technical Account Manager to join their Technical team.


The Role

Reporting to the UK Head of Technical, you’ll be responsible for managing all technical aspects of a premium retail account for products manufactured in the UK and Europe. You’ll work closely with technical functions across the business to ensure compliance with Company HR, Health & Safety, Food safety, Quality and Hygiene policies.

You will be responsible for supporting all sites with key customer visits and audits, ensuring that they understand the updated key customer codes of practice and share best practice between sites. Additionally, you will be fully involved with all technical aspects of EPD/NPD projects to ensure that they are delivered on time and to agreed quality standards.

Your accountability will also include an element of reporting, on completion of appropriate customer Technical scorecards, customer quality benchmark sessions and specific site external accreditations.


The Candidate

We are looking for a technical professional with a degree or equivalent in Food Science or a similar science discipline. You’ll have extensive experience of managing all aspects of Technical with the UK major retailers.

You will be liaising with internal teams, suppliers and customers so your communication skills must be first rate too. Able to effectively project manage, you’ll need to have excellent organisation and prioritisation skills in order to work on multiple projects with several manufacturing sites.

Having a good understanding of HACCP and auditing would be a bonus. This role will require frequent traveling in the UK and Europe, sometimes at short notice.
