Job Description:

As a Specification Technologist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of product specifications for our client in the deli sector. You will work closely with various teams, including product development, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to create and maintain detailed specifications for our products.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and maintain product specifications in accordance with client requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information on ingredients, formulations, and manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of ingredient lists, nutritional information, allergen declarations, and other key product attributes.
  • Ensure that all specifications comply with relevant regulations, including labeling laws and food safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to address any specification-related inquiries or concerns.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and customer preferences to continually improve specifications.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to demonstrate compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Provide support to product development teams during the formulation and testing phases.
  • Assist in the resolution of specification-related issues that may arise during production or post-launch.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the food industry
  • Strong understanding of food labelling regulations and quality assurance principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
