Reed have been briefed to recruit on behalf of a large Food Manufacturing business to recruit for an SHE Manager on an initial 3 month Fixed Term Contract. The role will suit an experienced Health and safety professional, who is keen on being able to make a genuine difference on the health and safety standards of a food production site.

Job description:

• Ensure the site is legal and compliant to all Health & Safety and Environmental company standards.
• Being proactive to identify risks and recommending actions to minimise risk to the business and impact of enforcement activity.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental standards.
• Conduct risk assessments to include H&S and Environmental
• Analyse results and highlight trends to identify problem areas to enable informed and effective decision making.
• Act as the lead competent person for health and safety and handle all Accreditation and Compliance Audits/Visits.

Person specification:

• IOSH / NEBOSH - National General Certificate
• Good understanding of UK legislation in relation to Health & Safety (essential)
• Internal Audit trained
• Experience of working in a fast moving distribution environment, preferably from a multi-drop, multi temperature foodservice business with strong knowledge in Health & Safety, Environmental, Food Standards and internal and external auditing standards.

Qualifications:

• NEBOSH General Certificate
