Job Details
Health, Safety & Environment Manager | Northamptonshire
Salary: £DOE (Single site & hands on management role)
Hours: Normal office hours (some flexibility needed)
It is very easy for us to say that "this opportunity is an exciting opportunity for the right person", however on this occasion, I genuinely think this company may blow you away with how impressive they are when it comes to what they have achieved in such a short space of time and the fact they are by no means done in that journey.
A company that in theory is still in its infancy, for a Health & Safety Manager who wants the challenge of not only setting up correct practices, procedures, but also helping a business drive the right culture from the get go as they look to keep growing, this is the place to look.
When it comes to Health & Safety, I know one of the largest frustrations in your current role, is that the company don't take you seriously and don't want to invest, they are just going through the motions, however I believe that the company we work with will follow through and prove to you that companies can put safety first and develop their site and operation to fit with this is at the fore.
From a cultural point of view the team are all individuals that want to challenge what they do, what they are capable of and help this business reach the heights of their goals. They want to ensure the people and operation is safe and of the highest standards and quality, for not only their employees but for their customers.
As an experienced Health & Safety professional, you will know what it takes to fulfil this role, however something of note, this is more of a Health & Safety role, rather than an environmental, but this may develop over time as the environmental side of things is something they are truely passionate about and numerous individuals in the business are already on the case to developing it.
What do you need?
- NEBOSH certified is a good starting point. If you have further accreditations and qualifications that would be great.
- Experience within FMCG, Food, Fresh Produce is paramount.
- An attitude to maintain the highest of standards, but also enjoy your work and maintain a pragmatic approach
- A way with people that get their buy in and can help influence the future
