Hygiene Manager for Merseyside based Chilled Food Manufacturer, to drive all elements of the Hygiene Service by setting standards and leading the Hygiene Teams.

Reporting to the Technical Controller, responsibilities for the role will include:

• Providing leadership and direction to the Hygiene Team to ensure that people are engaged, focused and delivering their potential, identifying areas of improvement and innovation
• Leading the coordination and successful delivery of Hygiene for all Manufacturing unit visits and audits
• Establishing a Hygiene Vision incorporating the key elements of SHE, environmental and waste management
• Preparation and management of the Hygiene budget, related Capex and negotiation / maintenance of 3rd party contracts
• Ensuring a safe working environment, meeting standards set in the SHE policy

Essential / Desirable skills include:

• Proven track record in Food Manufacturing, ideally chilled
• Hygiene Management and integrated Hygiene and Environmental Management systems experience
• Strong Management skills, leading and working with a diverse workforce
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers, 3^rd parties and internal teams
• HACCP & Food Hygiene Qualifications

The working hours for the role are Monday – Friday, office hours, with flexibility to support teams across both day and night shifts. The salary is £40k - £45k per annum plus an excellent benefits package.
