The Opportunity:

Princes Bradford is our largest drinks manufacturing site in the UK producing 26 million cases of Dilute and Carbonated drinks per year for own label retail sale and for well-known brands. We are now excited to confirm that we have established a partnership with Capri-Sun which will bring the production of the iconic and much loved brand, Capri-Sun, home to our Bradford site. 
Initial production on 2 lines commences in October 2024 and on full completion in March 2025 there will be 4 production lines, each capable of 8,000 pouches per hour operating 365 days per year from our bespoke unit.

Due to this exciting expansion, we are now looking for multiple Technical Operators who are passionate and manufacturing and committed to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment, to join us on this exciting journey.

What to expect:
Working on a shift based flexible 24/7 days and night’s pattern, we are looking to create a self contained team based on the foundations of great teamworking and personal responsibility.
As the Technical Operator for the line, you will be seen as the go to operational person - as first port of call in the event of a breakdown good teamworking with the engineers is essential. A manufacturing person at heart you will be responsible for all of the kpi’s on the line and be fundamental in the training and development of the rest of the team.   

This is a high profile role within the team!

•    Operation, basic maintenance and continuous improvement of Manufacturing Equipment and Processes.
•    Deployment of autonomous maintenance skills to ensure Equipment Availability at all times and Operating at OEM's Rated capacity. You are the first point of call for any line issues, good problem solving skills and a ‘can-do’ mentality is essential.
•    Ensure that your team members are trained to the standards accepted, you will be responsible for ensuring that all skilled members are signed off by yourself.
•    Carry out basic machine asset care and equipment calibration to keep machines in good working order by executing established cleaning, inspection and lubrication routines. You will also monitor and report on performance and optimise machine set up to ensure we maximise quality and output and reduce waste.
•    This role requires operational focus, technical competence, a good understanding and awareness of monitoring and control systems in a digital environment and a good understanding of manufacturing processes.
•    You will be able to demonstrate good communication skills, teamwork, the ability to get things done quickly and efficiently and have a strong drive for results.
•    Ability to work in a proactive manner with CI focus, following the Princes Operational excellence framework
•    Be an advocate for the Princes Values, behavioural integrity is essential at Princes and you will be seen as a role model for in terms of behaviours and expect nothing less from anyone else.
•    A training package that matches these expectations.

Skills & Essentials:

•    GCSE Math’s and English, or equivalent is required, as well as basic PC skills.
•    Machine operating, setting, adjustment, and maintenance skills.
•    Good IT skills – this is a paperless factory so the ability to work with the IT systems is essential.
•    Previous experience of working within a FMCG and Quality Control environment, and to have worked within a shift based role in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial
•    Formal technical qualifications are desirable but not essential as training will be given to an accredited Apprenticeship level, successful completion of this will be essential.
