Role Overview:

Our chilled foods site at Rogerstone Park is the largest within of our Meals Solutions division, employing around 1600 people, and producing a huge range of premium quality ready meals for major retail customers.

It's a huge, complex site offer plenty of challenge and variety and this is a great opportunity to join our Technical team.

Reporting to the Head of Technical, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading two QA Managers and teams of QA Technicians, ensuring all food safety, customer, and quality standards are maintained within the high care areas of the site.
  • Motivating and developing your team, by being visible in the factory, leading by example and providing ongoing coaching and mentoring.
  • As the 'go to' person for technical matters, working closely with other managers and teams across the site to ensure technical integrity and best practice.
  • Developing and instilling a culture of continuous improvement, proactively looking for more effective ways of working.
  • Coaching and developing your team, supporting them to ensure they're all equipped to work to the best of their ability.

About You

  • Prior experience of working in a Technical or Quality leadership role in a chilled / high care food manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of retailer codes of practice, with experience of working with M&S being an advantage
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and working to drive standards
  • Strong leadership skills, able to coach and develop teams
  • Highly organised, able to manage and prioritise a busy workload to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to develop good working relationships with colleagues at all levels
