2 Sisters Food Group are seeking an experienced and creative NPD professional to lead an established NPD and Process team at our Pizza operation in Nottingham.

About The Role:

Reporting into the Insight and Innovation Director, the Head of NPD & Process will be responsible for managing and motivating the NPD and Process teams as well as spearheading all innovation and product & packaging development.

This will involve ensuring that the NPD & EPD pipeline delivers against business strategy and that the teams on site are managed, motivated, and provided with the tools required to excel in their roles. As the head of the team, you will be expected to work with the rest of the SLT to ensure that all new products are not just innovative, but operationally viable.

Additional duties of the role will include:

  • Champion product quality, ensuring best quality vs value ratio.
  • Own the NPD costing process from concept to launch ensuring margins are not eroded through the process.
  • Build collaborative customer relationships. Taking the lead with our key customer.
  • Ensure 2SFG meals division proactively drives the innovation agenda.
  • Ensure innovation is insight driven.
  • Create collaborative relationships with Developers, Chefs, Technologists and Buyers
  • Proactively review progress & identify areas of underperformance and implement relevant corrective actions.
  • Work closely with Pizza Commercial, Category, Operations and Technical leadership teams to ensure realisation and effective implementation of innovation projects and insight led strategy.
  • Provide customers with Food trends & product insights.
  • Work closely we key suppliers to get first to market ingredient and packaging innovation in our products.

About You:

To excel in this Head of NPD & Process role, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • An established background in a similar role, ideally within Chilled Food Manufacturing.
  • Previous experience of leading NPD/Process teams.
  • The ability to develop products with end-to-end solutions in mind.
  • Demonstrable team leadership experience.
  • Strong customer facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of innovation viability.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and motivational skills.
