Customer and Supplier Technologist

North Yorkshire

Up to circa £35k per annum

•    25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Our client, a small distributor of chilled and frozen foods is looking for a Customer and Supplier Technologist for their site based in North Yorkshire.  The successful candidate will be responsible for technical communication between suppliers and customers. 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, responsibilities for the role will include:
•    Specifications management 
•    Policy change management 
•    Customer complaint management 
•    Assisting with the NPD Process including taste tasting of products on a regular basis
•    Establishing, building and maintaining effective and efficient working relationships with both suppliers and customers.  This will require some travel both in the UK and Europe to support the business objectives

Essential / Desirable skills include:
•    Batchelors degree in Food Science
•    Experience in a Technical role within the Food Industry
•    Experience with retail quality systems & specifications
•    Driving license and own vehicle
•    Flexible for travel, UK & International

The working hours for the role are 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday.  The salary is up to circa £35k per annum plus benefits.  Due to the location of the site and travel requirements to visit UK and European customers, a full driving licence and own vehicle are essential.
