Are you an experienced Procurement Process expert who provides Procurement strategic leadership and development of systems, processes, procedures and all aspects of category and supplier management?  

We have an opportunity for you to lead a team of four, focussing on procurement excellence, and be a true subject matter expert in SAP Ariba, category management, supplier management and sustainable sourcing programmes.  

We are in the process of updating our S2P systems and will be implementing Ariba Guided Buying, Sourcing, Contracting and Supplier Lifecycle Management.

Essential Ingredients

  • A technology expert in SAP-MM, PM and P2P  systems including SAP Ariba. Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project Word and PowerBI skills, able to develop complex reporting 
  • Experienced in people management and someone who thrives on motivating their team through clear objectives and developing meaningful career opportunities 
  • A system development specialist with experience in continuous improvement and the introduction of new ways of working, including complex process mapping 
  • Able to interpret data, recognise risk and offer a solution you’ll be naturally inquisitive and have a great eye for detail, asking open and probing questions to find the best solutions  
  • Project management experience and able to juggle your own priorities and lead the project teams. Delivering key milestones as promised, combined with strong stakeholder management skills to ensure everyone is kept informed and updated 

The Recipe
Working alongside the Procurement Management team based at our Head Office, you’ll be our expert in continuous improvement of our processes and procedures optimising the P2P solution; this includes end to end sourcing, contract management, material coordination and reporting for direct and indirect materials procurement.  

You’ll manage a team of Material Planners responsible for stock, third party and coordinate supplier relationships, and work alongside our sites across the UK network. 

Working with your team you’ll develop and create the market data insights to ensure accuracy, performance, and quality of both the analytical data, and the insights to support sound business opportunities.
