Senior HR Advisor

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to head up the HR Functions for a well-known Food manufacturer in Edinburgh.

The Role

• You will take the lead in ensuring effective employee and industrial relations, adherence to company and statutory policies and procedures and management of the site's hourly paid recruitment strategy.
• Partner with site leadership to develop a people plan that supports site objectives and lead on all HR-related activities – including employee relations, industrial relations, restructures, employee engagement, labour and strategic workforce planning, talent strategy and people development plans
• Management/training/inclusion/career development/ talent building)
• Employee relations - provide an accessible and professional HR function whereby employee queries and issues are resolved in an appropriate, timely and legally compliant manner, minimising risk of litigation, and improving communications
• Payroll accurately delivers monthly payroll activity and contributes to HR system development activity.
• Ensure effective HR administration of all activity within policy and procedure.

Requirements

• Have good generalist experience ideally within a manufacturing or head office environment.
• A practical understanding of employment legislation and law will ensure you provide professional, confident, and accurate employment advice at all levels, up to and including dismissal.
• CIPD Qualified
