Technical Assistant / Product Specification Technologist

A well-established food manufacturing company in Greater Manchester is seeking a skilled Technical Assistant / Product Specification Technologist to join its growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to customers regarding product specifications and materials.
• Collaborate with the buyer to finalize and approve raw material specifications.
• Partner with ingredient suppliers to ensure specifications meet requirements.
• Review artwork for alignment with customer, technical, and labelling needs.
• Maintain retailer web-based technical systems, including launching new products.
• Develop and manage product labels.
• Work with the NPD team on new product development, finalizing product specifications.
• Manage allergen information for internal and external labels.
• Maintain the company's recipe system with accurate ingredients and pricing.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in food manufacturing.
• Experience working with retail supermarket specifications.
• Knowledge of legal labelling legislation.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
