Our client, a prominent food manufacturing company based in Cornwall, is seeking a talented and driven Technical Manager to join their team. This role is not focused exclusively on the quality function but requires collaboration across various departments, particularly with the sales and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• New Product Development (NPD): Lead and manage NPD projects, ensuring that new products meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and commercial teams to align technical aspects with market demands and business objectives.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality management system, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to the production team, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with relevant food safety regulations and standards.

Requirements:

• Experience in Food Manufacturing: Proven experience in a technical management role within the food manufacturing industry is essential.
• Technical Management Experience: Strong background in managing technical teams and projects.
• NPD Background: Experience in new product development within the food industry is highly desirable.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to challenges.
