The role:
As a Graduate Junior Product Technologist, you'll play a vital role in our dynamic team, contributing to the product development lifecycle. Aligned with our company values, you are expected to evolve into a fully-fledged Product Technologist!
Your primary role is to serve as the bridge between the product development kitchen and the production line, ensuring a seamless transition for new products/ingredients from trial and testing stages to full production.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the seamless transition of new products from trial to full production and recommend improvements during trial production runs.
- Participate in buying and trialing new processing equipment.
- Provide co-ordination for the implementation of new structures and processes.
- Build relationships with NPD, Production, and other stakeholders.
- Understand and flag potential problems in production processes.
- Develop schedules for product launches and coordinate production trials.
- Conduct ongoing investigations into production processes.
- Ensure accurate documentation of operating procedures and provide support during initial production.
- Cost products after trials and be flexible in undertaking role-associated activities.
- Design, embed and champion Continuous Improvement initiatives beyond New Product Development, ensuring a culture of ongoing enhancement and efficiency throughout the organisation.

Experience:
- A food-related degree or equivalent in Product Development or similar
- Knowledge and experience in food manufacturing desirable
- Excellent communication skills

- Organisational and project management skills
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm
