My client is a market-leading FMCG business based in South Wales, that has enjoyed significant growth in recent years which has been facilitated by increased customer demand, continued diversification of their product range and ongoing investment from the parent company. Two primary sites are currently in operation; our head office and factory in Swansea, and a fairly recently established, highly automated plant in Cardiff. With over 500 employees across our sites, my client is committed to recruiting talented and driven professionals to join the business on its impressive growth journey.
As Site Operational Management Lead you will manage all aspects of site operations and manufacturing, to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness, for the delivery of key performance indicators, with a future state of hybrid maintenance responsibilities.
Promote Safety and Compliance ensuring adherence to rigorous safety management systems and compliance standards in accordance with UK regulations and company policies.
Lead the site to operate within robust quality assurance processes and standards to ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations.
Provide strong leadership and direction to the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Coach, mentor, and develop team members to maximise their potential and contribution to the business.
Manage relationships with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and services through the supply chain and warehouse processes.
Manage and evolve key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track operational performance. Analyse data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimise processes and enhance productivity.
Develop and manage the site's operational budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost control measures are in place. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains without compromising quality or safety.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment and collaboration towards achieving operational goals and objectives. Delivery of team briefings to ensure smooth communication flow of key information to the workforce.
As a senior manager within the business, lead with demonstrated positivity and partner with senior management and directors to deliver wider business people strategy.
Liaise across all functional/departmental areas so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of operational development, and to ensure that Direct reports are fully informed of operational objectives, purposes and achievements.
