Regulatory Executive

The Company and Role.

This well-known organisation collaborate with food and drink manufactures and retailer and provide support, guidance and expertise in order to ensure they succeed and thrive. As a member of the technical and regulatory developments you will provide technical support on food safety and regulatory legislation. 

This role would suit a Food Science/Technology  graduate or another similar discipline, ideally with experience in the UK food industry. Prior knowledge of UK and EU food law, in particular within food microbiology and food safety would be advantage. A keen eye for detail will be critical in producing accurate written summaries of technical and regulatory information. This is a FTC position until December 2025.

Personal Profile.

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in food science or another relevant discipline
• Experience in food industry, regulatory authority, trade association or similar organisation is desirable
• Experience of food safety and/or regulatory policy development is desirable
• Strong analytical skills, with a demonstrable ability to produce accurate written summaries of scientific and regulatory information
• Knowledge of the food and drink industry

Key Accountabilities.

• Monitoring and analysis of relevant scientific, technical and regulatory developments across the UK and EU
• Providing written summaries of regulatory changes
• Assisting with the external representation of the companies policies, including to government officials
• Supporting and leading on individual policy areas and projects
• Providing support for committees, both technical and board level, including preparing agendas, papers and minutes
