Are you an experienced and ambitious professional in the food industry, looking for a new challenge?  Eurostar has been a leading supplier of food ingredients across the UK for 30 years, delivering products to wholesale, food manufacture, hospitality and retail sectors.

We’re looking for a motivated Technical Coordinator with proven experience to join our team, to support growth in our ingredient distribution business as well as our gluten free manufacturing facility.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, this is a varied role, where you’ll be supporting the site to maintain its fantastic food safety, quality and regulatory standards, covering specifications, supplier approvals, customer requests, complaints, internal and external audits, HACCP and KPI reports.

Monday to Friday, no shifts or weekends

Key responsibilities

  • Maintenance of the site quality standards and ensuring site complies with external certification standards and is always audit ready
  • Completing internal specifications, with regular reviews, /interpretation of specs, inc using customer portals
  • Manage raw material and supplier information, including approval of new suppliers
  • Respond to customer requests, completing technical documentation and specifications
  • Be a proactive member of the HACCP team, managing the HACCP Risk Assessment with training
  • Work alongside the QA Supervisor to manage and conduct the internal audit schedule
  • Effective management of customer complaints and issues to identify the cause and solution
  • Support / lead Root Cause Analysis investigations when required
  • Manage the pest control programme
  • Complete monthly KPI reports, summarising issues and trends

What we’re looking for in you:
We’re looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic team player, who thrives on a busy schedule. A forward thinker, you’re always on the lookout for ways to improve things.

  • Must have previous systems/admin experience in food technical, including completing specifications
  • Working to BRCGS accredited standards in the UK, with audit experience
  • Degree in a food related discipline required
  • Word and Excel literate
  • Extremely high attention to detail
  • Ability to respond to customers with a “right first time” attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have right to work in the UK, no sponsorship offered with this role

This role is permanent, full time, office based in Brighouse and we are looking to fill this role as soon as possible.

Office hours, Monday to Friday, with an hour for lunch, 23 days holiday per year plus public holidays. Company pension scheme, staff discount scheme, free car parking, smart/casual dress code.
