The Company

A market leader in multiple food categories, this growing food group produce fabulous products that are ahead of the competition and always make a splash in the marketplace. They have an exciting opportunity for a talented Development Chef to join their innovations team.


The Role

You’ll play an influential role in creating delicious concepts that are delicious, commercially viable and scalable so that millions of consumers can enjoy your creations. You’ll work really work closely with your retail customer, forging relationships with the Product Developers so you can really understand their vision for their category, working on new concept briefs as well as revitalising existing ranges.

As well as developing and testing new recipes you will also be managing costings, organising internal and external presentations, carrying out competitor reviews and liaising with ingredients suppliers. You’ll need to keep up to date with emerging food and restaurant trends, as well as new ingredients and changes in consumer behaviour.


The Person

A passionate and enthusiastic NPD Chef with a real love of food, you must have previous food manufacturing experience where you have developed products for the retailers. As well as having strong commercial awareness and creative flair, you’ll have experience of encouraging creative thinking within a team and enjoy keeping up to date with new food trends.

You will be well-presented and articulate, comfortable in a customer-facing role with excellent influencing skills and the ability to get customer buy-in.
