The role

To oversee various aspects pf this manufacturing business from a Heath, Safety and Facilities point of view

.
Key responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate all installations and utilities, reviewing consumption and strive to minimise costs.
  • Supervise all contract activities on site ensuring risk assessments and method statements are in place alongside a permit to work system.
  • Control of waste management and building security.
  • Update H&S policies and procedures. 
  • Responsible for risk assessments and the closure of actions.
  • Formulate and update emergency response plans.
  • Lead accident or incident investigations to determine the root cause and document findings and corrective actions.
  • Report out on HSE metrics and contract status.
  • Negotiate and source contracts for facilities when required. 
  • Ensure that legal compliance is in place throughout the facility.
  • Be the owner for Bright safe health and safety software for the facility.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Hold a health and safety qualification.
  • Good level of written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrate an analytical critical thinking mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Well versed in technical engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
