The Role

This is a senior level role where you will be developing and implementing the innovations strategy for products across a number of categories, to retain the company’s position as the market leader within this fast-moving sector.

You will challenge the status quo through product, packaging and technical innovation, highlighting new capabilities and shaping the future of the business. You’ll be able to apply your knowledge of consumer trends and use an insight-led approach to land new opportunities that are on brand as well as competitive.

You will have responsibility for ideation as well as the management of the new product launch process; driving profitable new products from concept through to launch. You’ll be optimising food standards and values, instilling a foodie culture and demonstrating creative flair that will delight discerning consumers.

You’ll have budgetary responsibility for the development function as well as managing a large Development Team across a number of sites. You will support and shape your team, inspiring them to deliver innovation and excellence with pride and passion.

The Person

We are looking for a highly accomplished and commercially focused Senior Innovations professional with extensive experience gained from a fast-paced food manufacturing, food retailer or branded environment. With the ability to galvanise and inspire colleagues, customers and suppliers, you will have previously operated at a strategic level to bring exciting products to market and have developed the credibility to influence at all levels.

Experience of working in partnership with the major multiples and understanding how to deliver true innovation to consumers is vital. As a confident and dependable leader, you will have previously driven and set the Innovations agenda for multiple categories and have a boundless passion for food with a real drive to deliver.

A people-person through and through, your highly developed team management experience will be proven and extensive alongside a history of aligning and motivating NPD teams to perform and deliver to the absolute best of their abilities.

You may be working in a similar role already, or be a highly ambitious Senior NPD or R&D Manager aspiring to join a company that can fully recognise your potential.
