Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 per annum

Job Description:

As a Hygiene Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the hygiene practices across our manufacturing site. You will lead a team of hygiene operatives, ensuring that all cleaning and sanitation processes are carried out effectively and in compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your role is critical in maintaining our commitment to food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive hygiene and sanitation programs across the facility.
• Lead, manage, and train a team of hygiene operatives to ensure high performance and adherence to hygiene standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments, including Production and Quality Assurance, to maintain and improve hygiene practices.
• Manage the hygiene budget and resources efficiently.
• Ensure all hygiene equipment is maintained and serviced as required.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and regulations to continuously improve hygiene standards.
• Prepare and present reports on hygiene performance and areas for improvement to senior management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a hygiene management role within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining high hygiene standards.
