About the Senior Food Technologist job

The purpose of your role will be to guide on-site teams, ensuring they adhere to relevant standards, policies, and regulations and drive continuous improvement to relevant standards, policies, legislation, and regulations.

Key tasks

• Deputise for the Technical Manager supporting their responsibilities and stepping in when needed, mentor and develop the Food Technologists within your department, helping them grow professionally.
• Contribute to customer and third-party audits and ensure compliance with quality management procedures related to food safety and quality culture.
• Participate in root cause analysis to identify and address underlying issues effectively. Complete customer forms, specifications, and other relevant documentation accurately and manage the quality manual and other food safety documents.
• Manager supplier audits, packaging waste regulations, and license documentation.
• Contribute to improving product safety, quality, and overall culture at both the group and site levels.

About You

The successful candidate should have a proven background of writing specifications within food manufacturing and possess a good knowledge of industry standards.

• It is essential that the successful candidate demonstrates proficiency in writing specifications.
• Ideally educated to degree level with a food science-relevant degree.
• Possess leadership qualities with drive, ambition as well as the ability to challenge standards within all relevant departments.

The Senior Food Technologist job is based in Maidenhead and is paying £45,000 according to your experience.

The working hours are Monday to Friday office hours.
