Job Details

Specialists in the food ingredients sector, my client is looking for telephone-based sales representatives to join their office based sales team.  Experience in a similar role would be helpful, and you must be someone who is genuinely interested in giving the best customer service and be able to show enthusiasm for sales and business development.

The Role
Outstanding customer service and proactive business development are the fundamentals of this role, you will be expected to grow both margin and volume working with colleague to maximise opportunities for the development of new customers.    
• Building customer rapport and providing a world class service experience
• Making outbound and inbound calls to and from existing and new customers
• Identifying customer needs and proactively selling new and existing products from a comprehensive range via up-selling and cross-selling
• Managing customer expectations effectively and raising escalations when required
• Working to team and individual KPIs, achieved by working with a one-team mind-set to deliver service excellence to our customers
• Ensure that the day-to-day call sets are adhered to and calls in line to KPIs, ensuring that calls are covered in a timely manner.
• Work with others in the team to ensure that financial reports are being used effectively

Personal Profile
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• High level of organisational skills
• Passion for sales and customer service
• Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships in a B2B environment
• Strong track record in the delivery of commercial targets
• Numerate and commercially astute
• Polite and professional manner
• Ability to work well under pressure with excellent time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Team player
• Computer literate to intermediate level, Word and Excel
