The Company

This is a great opportunity to join a growing food business who supplies the UK retail market. With excellent prospects and a highly respected retail customer base, they are now on the lookout for an NPD Manager who can help drive innovation for their customers.

The Role

In this influential role you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing the innovation strategy in line with the company’s commercial vision as well as their customer and consumer-led values. This will involve leading your team in the development of new products, managing the critical path from ideation stage through to concept approval.

Up to date with the latest trends, you'll apply your knowledge and passion for food into innovative ideas that will enhance the existing range of products whilst guiding your creative team to develop exciting new concepts that are first to market. You will also work closely with internal teams to identify new opportunities within your category whilst applying your NPD and market knowledge to evaluate the commercial viability of new products. In addition you will liaise with retail customers, cultivating strong relationships to ensure this prominent food manufacturer stays ahead of its competitors.

The Candidate

Suit a creative, tenacious and credible NPD Manager, or a Senior NPD Technologist ready to take the next step up in this strategic innovations role. With bountiful experience within food manufacturing you will be extremely well-presented and adept at delivering demonstrations to major retails customers.

You will have a proven track record of developing products in food manufacturing where you have gained a strong understanding of the NPD process and really honed your retail customer management skills. Great communication and interpersonal skills are also essential along with the ability to motivate and support your team’s development.
