About the Development Technologist job

The purpose of your role will be to work as part of a highly experienced beverage team with diverse and exciting projects within the beverage category, cultivate innovation and creativity to assist their customers in enhancing their existing brand portfolios, ensuring the successful launches of their new product lines.

Key tasks

• Create accurate, innovative, and winning taste solutions for beverage and manage projects in response to customer briefings, to achieve profitable business growth.
• Actively build strong multi-level relationships with key customers. Collaborate cross functionally and cross regionally to support overall goals of the Beverage Category Europe.
• Anticipate, investigate, and resolve problems with prototypes as needed. Utilize technology to deliver unique solutions to the marketplace.
• Maintain and renovate recipe databases across all beverage end uses.

About You

The successful candidate should possess a degree in Food Technology, Food Science or similar, with a background in creative function and ideally a minimum of 1yrs experience specifically in beverage design and flavouring and a high level of competence in design and delivery systems for end use markets.

• Clear understanding of the UK/EU Beverage market and legislation and consumer preferences.
• Expert tasting and evaluation skills in the beverage segment.
• Genuine passion and creativity for the beverage category.
• The ability to work to customers requirements and assigned deadlines.
• Excellent time management and an outstanding team player.
• Effective communication skills at all levels, both written and verbally.

More details

The Development Technologist job is based in Suffolk and is paying £30,000 to £40,000 per annum according to your experience. This is a one-year fixed term contract.

The package includes Contract Completion Bonus, Pension, Healthcare, Dental, 25 days holiday + bank holiday's.

The working hours are Monday to Friday / Office Hours.
