Our client, a distinguished food manufacturing company based in Cornwall, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Manager to join their team. This role involves working closely with various departments, particularly sales and commercial teams, rather than focusing exclusively on the quality function.

Key Responsibilities:

• New Product Development (NPD): Lead and manage NPD projects, ensuring that new products meet high standards of quality and innovation.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work in tandem with sales and commercial teams to align technical aspects with market demands and business goals.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality management system, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to the production team, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with relevant food safety regulations and standards.

Requirements:

• Experience in Food Manufacturing: Proven experience in a technical role within the food manufacturing industry is essential.
• Technical Experience: Strong background in managing technical teams and projects.
• NPD Background: Experience in new product development within the food industry is highly desirable.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to challenges.
