Quality Assurance Technician

Quality Assurance Technician

£26,000 to £28,000 per annum depending on experience

Full time on site 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

* Acting as the first point of call for any food safety and quality issues on the PM shift; addressing the issues to ensure compliant and high-quality product is manufactured and escalating where necessary

* Proactively engaging with staff to improve quality culture across all departments on the AM shift

* Finished product and environment microbiological and allergen testing

* Leading taste panels, reporting findings & addressing non-conforming product

* Conducting internal calibrations

* Conducting GMP, foreign body, hygiene and procedure audits, driving close-out of resulting actions

* Checking and filing production paperwork to ensure due diligence for every batch

* Managing the on-hold process for non-conforming materials and product

* Assisting with training out procedures

* Supporting activities during customer and third-party audits

* Technical administration activities

* Environmental swabbing

Person Specification:

• A passion for the food industry
• Keen to learn, hardworking and committed to gaining experience in a food manufacturing environment
• Technical or Food Related Qualification or proven relevant experience
