Renowned for their close collaboration with customers, they develop innovative, great-tasting product ranges and have an excellent reputation for supplying retailer brands. They work closely with leading UK supermarkets and food manufacturers.
About the Specifications Technologist job
Your role as Specifications Technologist will be to provide technical support by liaising regularly with both suppliers and customers on technical requirements.
Key tasks:
- Compile, review, and update finished product specifications using retailer portals.
- Compile and maintain raw material specifications and coordinate with suppliers to obtain COAs/COCs as required.
- Assist in the benchmarking of products.
- Ensure new products are analysed to customer requirements, nutrition, and shelf life.
- Complete quality attribute sheets and any other technical documentation required.
About You
- Good technical experience from the food manufacturing industry.
- Working knowledge of food raw material, packaging, and retailer product specifications.
- Sound understanding of food law and labelling requirements and codes of practice relating to raw materials.
- Ideally qualified to a minimum of Level 2 Food Safety and HACCP.
- Computer literate and have excellent organisational skills.

This is either a site based, hybrid or remote role and is a 3–6-month FTC. The Specifications Technologist job is paying up to £35,000 pro rata according to your experience.
The working days are Mondays to Fridays during office hours.
