This wholesome but rapidly growing entrepreneurial business place a premium on using high quality ingredients in all their bakery products. They strive to expand their artisan and bespoke products into new markets, and they are now looking for a bright and creative Specification Technologist to join them on their journey of success.

The Role

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be key in maintaining company policies and procedures whilst ensuring compliancy with all relevant legislation. You will manage internal systems and various customer specification systems/ portals ensuring all information is correctively collated and in line with the latest food legislation, regulatory and compliance standards.

You will also work cross functionally with technical and NPD teams, providing support, assisting in the management of key supplier information, completing and submitting relevant product information packs, and guaranteeing all components are completed for finished products.

The Person

Prior experience as a Specification Technologist within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment is required, as well as a strong understanding of industry regulations and standards. Ideally you will have been trained in HACCP and have a good knowledge of traceability.

You’ll have the ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects, be able to work at pace and liaise with suppliers as well as cross functionally. You’ll need a good understanding of the technical processes of product development, superb attention to detail, organisation skills and the confidence to work autonomously.
