Food Technologist

Centrally placed within the Technical Team working with various internal departments to safely onboard new and replacement products and suppliers.

Key Accountabilities

• Safety, Quality and Legal review of all new products / suppliers
• Maintaining appropriate and demonstrable product and supplier due diligence
• Proactively manage and plan seasonal changeovers to aim for a seamless transition
• Provide support to the technical team and the wider business by responding professionally to internal and external queries
• Conduct food technical research and source accurate information with minimal guidance and supervision
• Support the technical team with additional project work and technical administrative tasks when required in support of the QMS, agreed customer and 3rd party standards.

Person Profile

• A science-based degree graduate or equivalent
• Knowledge of FIR, Food Allergens, Food Microbiology
• High level of attention to detail
• A robust understanding of Food Safety
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
