Best of Poland Ltd are specialist Importers, Distributers, and Brand managers of a range of Polish Food products into the largest UK & Irish retail, wholesale & manufacturing sectors. Our office is based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

We are looking for a Food Safety/Quality Assurance Manager to comply with BRC Agents & Broker Requirements. The Quality Department is in charge of developing and reviewing our quality systems, food safety practices and maintaining and improving services, legality and quality of products supplied, in accordance with the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Agents and Brokers standard.

If you speak Polish and have experience in the food safety and quality management, please come and join our team. The role will require regular travel to Poland.

Main responsibilities for the candidate will include:

1) Quality Control and Assurance:

  • Oversee the entire quality control process, from raw materials to finished products.
  • Implement and maintain quality management systems
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.

2) HACCP Implementation:

  • Develop and manage Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs.
  • Identify critical control points in food production to prevent hazards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement preventive measures.

3) Audits and Inspections:

  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate external audits by regulatory bodies or certification agencies.
  • Address any non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain BRC Agents & Broker Certification

4) Supplier and Vendor Management:

  • Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on quality and safety criteria.
  • Ensure that raw materials meet specifications.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve quality and resolve issues.

5) Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records related to quality control, inspections, and audits.
  • Document procedures, specifications, and corrective actions.

6) Crisis Management and Recall Preparedness:

  • Develop contingency plans for food safety incidents.
  • Coordinate product recalls if necessary.

7) Collaboration:

  • Work closely with production, R&D, and supply chain teams.
  • Communicate quality-related information to senior management.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

· Polish native or speak Polish language essential.

· A bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field is often required.

· Experience and knowledge of food safety regulations, quality management systems, and auditing principles.

· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
