Product Developer

Supplying retail, food service, wholesale and manufacturing sectors this well-established, ingredients business are seeking a customer facing product developer, with a keen interest in flavours and excellent culinary skills.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering new products from concept to launch

Working cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure smooth functioning of the manufacturing site

Addressing issues in production when they arise and finding solutions to improve efficiency and implement cost saving practices where possible

Working closely on recipe and packaging development for products to explore various innovative opportunities

A good understanding of the manufacturing process, leading trials and test panels

Adhering to high standards and requirements set by customer briefs and sustainability initiatives

Benchmarking and keeping up to date with relevant trends in the market to develop recipes and implement packaging intuitively and in line with current industry standards

Personal Profile

Previous NPD experience in concept to launch in FMCG, or a basic culinary knowledge of flavours and how to make delicious products

Professional and confident to be customer facing

Easy communication skills, able to influence

Excellent project management

Good understanding of nutritional benefits

Ideally degree in Food related subject or experience as a chef and a passion for flavour and texture.
