We are working exclusively with a family owned, growing ingredients manufacturer, who are searching for a Specifications Technologist to join their team in Suffolk. They are growing at a significant rate with numerous new products launching every month into some of the biggest names in the food industry. This is a new position within the business that is coming due to their growth and will look to allow the business to continue on their path to success.

The person that will be successful as the Specification Technologist will be:

As a company, starting as a small family business they have seen continual year on year growth for the past 3 years, which has seen them expand to a dual location operation. This growth is not set to slow down any time soon! One of the keys to their success has been striving to meet and exceed demands of their trade partners and consumers with fantastic product quality, expert knowledge and best practice techniques.

The experience you will need will as the Specification Technologist:

• A background within food manufacturing
• Experience using web-based spec systems and portals
• Ability to create product specifications from an NPD recipe and raw material specifications
• Knowledge around nutritional’s

Some of the key responsibilities of the Specifications Technologist include:

• Updating and maintaining raw material and finished product specifications and associated documentation whilst ensuring policy, technical integrity in both food safety and legal compliance are maintained.
• Maintaining customer specification databases and ensuring all required product and process data is available and up to date, ensuring customer code of practice and requirements are fully implemented and maintained.
• Load recipes onto our internal database and check nutritional information for compliance
• Maintaining and updating the supplier approval documentation and approved supplier list.
• Assisting the senior specifications technologist with generating and updating factory paperwork for product launches.
• Ensuring that all customer demands are met in a timely manner meeting the expectations of customer timescales.

To the successful candidate they are offering up to £32,000 per annum with opportunity to grow your career further!
