We are currently recruiting a Lead/Senior NPD Technologist to be based at our Hull bakery on a full-time, permanent basis.

 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a motivated Lead/Senior NPD Technologist who specialises in cake decoration/celebration cakes and will work with some of the largest food retailers in the UK.

 

You will have a creative flair, great personal skills and a passion for NPD and bakery. You will be a team player with superb communication skills, which will enable you to liaise closely with customers and internal teams.

 

A self-starter, you will show energy and enthusiasm for the products in which you work, and you will thrive under pressure.

 

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of cake decorating experience. Ideally, this will be within a food manufacturing business, however, we are open to your experience being within a small, local cake-making business or retail outlet. Full training can be provided on the large bakery/factory element of the role and full NPD/EPD process.

 

The role of a Lead/Senior NPD Technologist at BBF Limited

·        Develop new and existing products in line with the product launch process, from concept through to launch, ensuring all products achieve the required commercial targets & desired shelf life

·        Work closely with commercial controllers, marketing, suppliers and customers

·        Be responsible for managing multiple projects, and ensuring they are delivered on time to critical paths, working closely with key stakeholders and customers internally and externally

·        Prepare recipe information, customer documentation and internal paperwork in line with projects and requirements.

·        Create product costings for all developments and product changes.

·        Organise & lead factory trials with operations, process and site technical teams

·        Work closely with suppliers and procurement on new raw materials and tender projects.
