Our client, an innovative, fast-paced food manufacturer is looking for a hands-on Quality Manager for their site based in Hampshire.  The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the food safety, quality and compliance of all products including the application and implementation of all relevant food safety and quality systems, ensuring that the site standards are constantly maintained.

Reporting to the Head of Technical, responsibilities for the role will include:

  • Managing the QA function within the business
  • Driving improvements in GMP, food safety, quality and overall compliance to required standards. Ensuring audit ready at all times
  • Ensuring microbiological, water quality and other necessary food safety testing is conducted
  • Managing taste panels
  • Assisting with customer complaints investigations.

Essential / Desirable skills include:

  • Previous similar hands-on experience within a Food manufacturing environment
  • Experience of leading a team
  • Experience managing internal and 3rd party audits

The working hours for the role are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with flexibility to suit business needs. The salary is £45k - £50k per annum plus an excellent benefits package.
