Our client, a multi-national Food Manufacturer is looking for a NPD Technologist to join its NPD Team based in Staffordshire. The successful candidate will lead and develop new and modified products from concept to post-launch.

Reporting to the NPD Manager, responsibilities for the role will include:

• Managing Product Development projects from concept to post-launch, developing own-label and retailer products 
• Organising product showcases to bring new food trends and ideas to the wider team
• Responsibility for organising trials, shelf-life, samples, and industrial validations
• Researching and communicating new ideas and trends 

Essential / Desirable skills include:

• Ideally educated to degree level in a Food Science / Technology or a related discipline
• Experience working within a similar NPD role within food manufacturing 
• Confident IT and communication skills
• A passionate “foodie” with proven innovation and creativity in product development

The working hours for the role are Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5pm, with flexibility to meet the needs of the business. The salary is competitive plus an excellent benefits package. A driving licence is required to facilitate off site meetings and customer/supplier visits.
