The Role:

We are working with one of the leading food manufacturers in the UK who are actively seeking a strong Senior Quality Manager to join their team. They have recently had an internal restructure and going through an exciting growth phase within the business.

As the Senior Quality Manager who will play a vital role within the Quality and Technical team and be crucially important when it comes to supporting the site Technical Manager and technical functions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure that the Quality Managers are effectively managed and be heavily involved with new recruitment and training within the quality team.
- Directly report to the Technical Manager and deputise when required to do so.
- Support the Technical Manager and be present for external audits such as BRC and also any retailers.
- Provide an effective link between the NPD and production teams to ensure that any new processes or products are effectively introduced.
- Effectively review non-conformances and identify any corrective actions.
- Manage the internal audit schedule to ensure that is maintained and up to date.

Requirements:
- Previous experience within a similar role is essential.
- Proven experience managing and effectively leading a team within quality is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Experience working with BRC and major retailers.
- Chilled product experience is preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of HACCP and Food Safety.

Salary - £40,000-£45,000 (Dependent on Experience)
