Job Title: Head of Operations/Factory Manager

Location: Home Counties

Salary: c£75k - £80k plus benefits 

An innovative Food & Drink manufacturer with a real emphasis on people development and a growth mentality, are now looking to recruit an ambitious Head of Operations/Factory Manager to join their talented management team.

The Candidate: 

• Proven Leadership skills in a Manufacturing or FMCG environment, preferably with experience of managing engineering as well as operations.
• Degree in Food Science / Science, or related subject or equivalent.
• Track record of achieving results through teams
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communicator with all stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Ability to deal with complexity and change, prioritise effectively, and deliver within short timescales
• Creative mindset, looking for opportunities to improve current practices.
• Previous experience of working in the Food and Drink industry, preferably in a regulated environment.

The Role: 

• You will have direct responsibility for the plant and facilities, delivering highest operational standards, hygiene, fabrication, aesthetics, engineering & maintenance.
• You will develop and maintain a continuous improvement culture, driving operational efficiencies, and identifying and implementing improvements to working practices to improve efficiency, performance and reliability.
• You will manage teams across operations, engineering and warehousing, driving efficiencies and working towards common goals.
• Ensure all products are manufactured to the required product safety and quality standards, safely and on time.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the teams, including managers, supervisors, technicians, and production operatives.
• Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and provide feedback to enhance employee productivity and morale.
