Salary: Up to £45,000
Working Hours: Monday - Friday

Our client, a leading company in the food manufacturing sector, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Development Manager to join their team in Carlisle. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in driving innovation and bringing exciting new products to market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Concept to Launch: Manage the entire product development lifecycle from initial concept through to successful product launch.
• Customer Collaboration: Work closely with customers to understand their needs, develop tailored product solutions, and maintain strong relationships.
• Innovation Leadership: Lead the creation of new, innovative food products, ensuring they meet both customer expectations and regulatory standards.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with various departments including R&D, quality assurance, and production to ensure seamless product development and launch.
• Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for product development.  

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a New Product Development (NPD) role, with proven experience in managing the full product development cycle.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong background in food manufacturing, ideally within the chilled food sector, but experience in any food category will be considered.
• Customer-Facing Experience: Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored product solutions.
