Our client based in Wolverhampton are searching for a new Commercial Manager with experience in Purchasing, Internal Sales, SOP and Operations. Part of a large group of businesses, our client is at the forefront of craftsmanship in their area. 

Job Role
Experienced Commercial Manager to join their team and will play a pivotal role in overseeing various aspects of their business operations including Purchasing, internal sales and ensuring alignment between product, sales, marketing, and engineering departments.

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will need to have experience in the key areas below:
•    Lead and manage the purchasing department to ensure timely procurement of goods and services
•    Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to optimize the procurement process and opportunities whilst negotiating favourable terms
•    Install sales strategies within domestic and export markets to achieve revenue targets whilst looking to expand on other sales opportunities
•    Collaborate with internal and external sales teams to develop customer satisfaction
•    Operate as a central liaison between the product, sales, marketing, purchasing, and engineering departments ensuring alignment of company objectives
•    Implement standard operating procedures for to ensure consistency, transparency, and efficiency across business function
•    Develop and communicate SOPs to all relevant stakeholders providing training and support
•    Develop and implement strategic plans to capitalize on market opportunities and mitigate identified risks
•    Explore new business opportunities and amplification avenues to provide revenue growth
•    Drive new product introduction through the purchasing process in collaboration with suppliers
•    Identify potential risks and compliance issues relating to sales, marketing and purchasing
•    Establish key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of commercial measures and improve on these metrics
•    Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence to achieve the business objectives
•    Prepare and present product opportunity briefs on proposals from the sales force

Personal Profile
•    Hold a qualification in business administration preferably MBA
•    Good level of written and verbal communication
•    Proven experience in a similar commercial manager role
•    Strong leadership skills having the ability to motivate and inspire cross functional teams
•    Strategic thinker with a track record of driving business growth and profitability
•    Experience in developing standard operating procedures related to own job function
•    Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and propose actions
•    Experience of purchasing outside of the UK and the logistics of transporting goods
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
